  1. Recently I was attending the AGM of the Preganancy and Birth Network.  I've been a member of this group of well qualified and glorious women for many years now and I feel hugely blessed to know them and refer clients to them where necessary.

Well this year's meeting saw several new members attend and we all gave a quick talk about how we support women and their partners through pregnancy and birth.  It was amazing to notice that nearly 4 hours had passed.  Just think about that for a moment.  How has time passed quickly for you when you are distracted by being in a safe and happy place with glorious people around you?  Hypnosis tends to distort time, in hypnobirthing practice that can make 20 minutes appear to be 5 or 10 minutes!  Stop to think about that now.  What if your birth could appear to be 1/4 to 1/2 the time that it really is?  Simply by listening to the relaxation MP3's and affirmations, trusting birth this could be the reality for you.  Check out the course information page to see when you could start to learn these brilliant birthing skills.

  2. Today I'd like you to think about how it feels to be surrounded by your "tribe".  Those people who think about lots of things in a similar way to you.  People who care about you and respect you and your way of doing things.  As we go through life most of us will collect friends and learn what sort of people and what sort of support feel good and life enhancing.  Sometimes people talk about spending time with the radiators not the fridges!  People who help you to feel warm and happy rather than cold and frosty.

Research tells us that when we are surrounded by people we trust and who make us feel safe and happy, it is easier to feel comfortable.  In fact, pain is reduced when we feel safe and protected.  Here at Hypnobirthworks we teach you how to choose your perfect place and birthing "tribe" to help you achieve your sort of birth for this baby. If you'd like to know more feel free to book onto one of my Relax, Breathe and Birth classes or come to a free monthly coffee morning or just pick up the phone and call to ask questions.
